TL;DR
This paper presents a numerical study on optimizing pilot-aided joint phase recovery in frequency comb-based wideband transmission, achieving higher information rates with reduced complexity.
Contribution
It introduces an optimized pilot overhead and phase estimation algorithm that outperforms per-channel processing in long-haul wideband systems.
Findings
Net information rate gains through optimization.
Outperforms per-channel processing.
Lower complexity in phase recovery.
Abstract
We numerically investigate joint pilot-aided phase recovery for frequency comb-based long-haul wideband transmission. We report net information rate gains by optimizing the pilot overhead and phase estimation algorithm, outperforming per-channel processing at lower complexity.
