TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurements of the decay branching fractions of $ ext{chi}_{cJ}$ particles into $par{p} ext{eta} ext{pi}^0$ using a large dataset from the BESIII detector, providing new insights into charmonium decays.
Contribution
The study presents the first observation and measurement of the branching fractions for $ ext{chi}_{cJ} o par{p} ext{eta} ext{pi}^0$ decays, expanding knowledge of charmonium decay modes.
Findings
Branching fraction for $ ext{chi}_{c0}$ decay: $(2.41 imes 10^{-4})$
Branching fraction for $ ext{chi}_{c1}$ decay: $(1.95 imes 10^{-4})$
Branching fraction for $ ext{chi}_{c2}$ decay: $(1.31 imes 10^{-4})$
Abstract
Using events collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we present the first observations of the decays . Their decay branching fractions are determined to be , , and , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.
