CFT Correlators from (0,2) Heterotic String
Amit Giveon, Akikazu Hashimoto, David Kutasov

TL;DR
This paper confirms that the (0,2) heterotic string computes correlation functions in symmetric product conformal field theories, supporting the idea that it encodes these CFTs in spacetime.
Contribution
It provides a direct computation of correlation functions from the (0,2) heterotic string, validating the proposed link to symmetric product CFTs.
Findings
The (0,2) heterotic string yields correlation functions consistent with symmetric product CFTs.
The paper confirms the spacetime interpretation of the heterotic string in terms of these CFTs.
Supports the conjecture that the string encodes the structure of the symmetric product CFTs.
Abstract
In \cite{Giveon:2024fhz}, we argued that the (0,2) heterotic string gives rise in spacetime to left and right-moving symmetric product CFT's. In this paper we confirm this claim by showing that it computes correlation functions in these CFT's.
