TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of proton-Xi correlation functions in heavy-ion collisions at 200 GeV, providing insights into hyperon-nucleon interactions relevant for nuclear matter and neutron star physics.
Contribution
It presents high-statistics correlation measurements in isobar and Au+Au collisions, extracting source sizes and interaction parameters using the Lednicky-Lyuboshitz model, which is novel for these collision systems.
Findings
Source sizes of $p$-$ar{ ext{Xi}}$ pairs were determined.
Strong interaction parameters for $p$-$ ext{Xi}$ were extracted.
Results contribute to understanding hyperon-nucleon interactions.
Abstract
Understanding the strong interactions between baryons, especially hyperon-nucleon (-) interactions, is crucial for comprehending the equation-of-state (EoS) of the nuclear matter and inner structure of neutron star. In these proceedings, we present the measurements of - (-) correlation functions with high statistics in Isobar (Ru+Ru, Zr+Zr) and Au+Au collisions at = 200 GeV by the STAR experiment. With the Lednick\'y-Lyuboshitz approach, the source size and strong interaction parameters of - (-) pairs are extracted.
