Symmetries in high-temperature lattice QCD with (u, d, s, c, b) optimal domain-wall quarks
Ting-Wai Chiu

TL;DR
This study examines how chiral and flavor symmetries are restored at high temperatures in lattice QCD with five quark flavors, revealing a sequential symmetry restoration and the emergence of chiral-spin symmetry, with specific flavor sector dominance.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of symmetry restoration patterns across multiple quark flavors in high-temperature lattice QCD with optimal domain-wall quarks.
Findings
Hierarchical restoration of chiral symmetries from SU(2) to SU(5) as temperature increases.
Emergence of SU(2)_{CS} chiral-spin symmetry in certain temperature windows.
Flavor sectors involving bottom quarks dominate the temperature windows for SU(2)_{CS} symmetry emergence.
Abstract
We investigate the spatial -correlators of meson operators in lattice QCD with optimal domain-wall quarks across eight temperatures ranging from 325 to 3250 MeV. The meson operators include a complete set of Dirac bilinears for ten flavor combinations. Our findings reveal a hierarchical restoration of chiral symmetry in QCD with quarks, progressing sequentially from to , then to , and finally to as the temperature increases. Additionally, we explore the emergence of the chiral-spin symmetry and compare the temperature windows for all flavor combinations. Our results indicate that the temperature windows for the emergent symmetry are primarily dominated by the…
