Contribution
The package introduces methods to construct likelihood correspondences and compute ML-degrees for algebraic statistical models within Macaulay2, enhancing computational algebra tools for statistics.
Findings
Provides tools for constructing likelihood correspondences
Enables calculation of ML-degrees for models
Integrates statistical models with algebraic geometry computations
Abstract
This note introduces the package for the computer algebra system . This package gives tools to construct the likelihood correspondence of a discrete algebraic statistical model, a variety that that ties together data and their maximum likelihood estimators. This includes methods for constructing and combining popular statistical models and calculating their ML-degree.
