Products of two orthogonal projections
Jaydeep Bhattacharjee, Jaydeb Sarkar

TL;DR
This paper investigates the properties of operators formed by multiplying two orthogonal projections, expanding classical results and focusing on projections linked to inner functions on the polydisc.
Contribution
It extends classical results on orthogonal projections by analyzing their products, especially those related to inner functions on the polydisc.
Findings
Characterization of products of two orthogonal projections.
Connections between projections and inner functions on the polydisc.
Extensions of classical projection results.
Abstract
We study operators that are products of two orthogonal projections. Our results complement some of the classical results of Crimmins and von Neumann. Particular emphasis has been given to projections associated with inner functions defined on the polydisc.
