Habib Ammari, Silvio Barandun, Alexander Uhlmann

TL;DR
This paper introduces the mathematical foundations of the truncated Floquet-Bloch transform, a tool for analyzing the spectral properties of large finite systems of resonators, applicable to both periodic and aperiodic structures.
Contribution
It provides the first rigorous mathematical framework for the truncated Floquet-Bloch transform used in spectral analysis of large resonator systems.
Findings
Established the mathematical basis of the transform
Validated the transform's applicability to large systems
Enhanced understanding of spectral properties in resonator arrays
Abstract
The truncated Floquet-Bloch transform can be used to characterise the spectral properties of finite periodic and aperiodic large systems of resonators. This paper aims to provide for the first time the mathematical foundations of this transform.
