TL;DR
This paper investigates semileptonic and nonleptonic decays of b-flavor vector mesons using the covariant light-front quark model, predicting decay rates and asymmetries relevant for future collider experiments.
Contribution
It provides the first comprehensive calculation of form factors and decay observables for $B^{*}$ mesons within the covariant light-front approach, including predictions for branching ratios and polarization fractions.
Findings
Largest branching ratios are for specific semileptonic and nonleptonic decays, reaching up to 10^{-7}.
Predicted decay channels are accessible at future high-luminosity experiments.
Form factors and physical observables are systematically calculated within the CLFQM.
Abstract
The semileptonic and nonleptonic decays of the b-flavor vector mesons and are investigated within the covariant light-front quark model (CLFQM). By calculating the form factors of the transitions under the CLFQM, with denoting a pseudoscalar meson, i.e., , we predict and discuss several physical observables, including the branching ratios, polarization fractions , and forward-backward asymmetries . The total widths of the single-photon radiative decay channels for these b-flavor vector mesons are estimated using their partial widths. In these considered decays, one can find that the semileptonic decays and ,…
