TL;DR
The paper reports on DAΦNE's recent activities focused on collecting data for the first measurement of kaonic deuterium X-ray transitions, highlighting operational efforts with the SIDDHARTA-2 detector since May 2023.
Contribution
It presents the first operational data collection for kaonic deuterium X-ray measurements using the SIDDHARTA-2 detector at DAΦNE in 2023.
Findings
Initial data collection successful
Operational runs with deuterium gas target conducted
Preparations for kaonic deuterium measurement underway
Abstract
The DA{\Phi}NE operations during the last year have been devoted to deliver a statistically significant data sample to perform the first-ever measurement of kaonic deuterium X-ray transitions to the fundamental level. Operations for the SIDDHARTA-2 detector using a deuterium gas target started officially on the second half of May 2023, and have been organized in several runs here described.
