Xiu-Lei Ren, K. P. Khemchandani, A. Mart\'inez Torres

TL;DR
This paper predicts the existence of two new doubly charmed $K^*$-like mesons, $K_{cc}^*(4309)$ and $K_{cc}^*(4449)$, using three-body interaction models inspired by recent discoveries of exotic states.
Contribution
It introduces a theoretical framework predicting heavy open-charm mesons with exotic configurations using Faddeev equations and fixed-center approximation.
Findings
Predicted two bound doubly charmed $K^*$-like mesons.
Both states are bound by approximately 60 MeV.
Results suggest potential for discovering exotic mesons beyond charm +2.
Abstract
In view of the recent discovery of , which can be described as a molecular state, we perform a study of the system, and its extension to studying , where is bound as a spin 1 -like state, to search for the possible existence of exotic mesons with the open flavors being part of their quark configuration. Considering the additional attractive interactions present in the and subsystems, where the states and are generated, we solve the Faddeev equations considering the fixed-center approximation for the mentioned three-body systems and find the existence of two doubly charmed -like mesons, and , with quantum numbers . Considering the respective three-body thresholds of the two systems, both -states are bound by around MeV.…
