TL;DR
This paper advances the renormalization of the Standard Model effective field theory to include dimension-eight fermionic interactions, providing new basis functions and off-shell calculations for improved theoretical precision.
Contribution
It introduces a new hermitian basis of dimension-eight Green's functions and details the one-loop running of two-fermion operators induced by dimension-six interactions.
Findings
New hermitian basis of dimension-eight Green's functions
Explicit calculations of operator running at one loop

Abstract
This is the third of a series of works (arxiv:2106.05291, arxiv:2205.03301) aimed at renormalizing the Standard Model effective field theory at one loop and to order , with being the new physics cut-off. On this occasion, we concentrate on the running of two-fermion operators induced by pairs of dimension-six interactions. We work mostly off-shell, for which we obtain and provide a new and explicitly hermitian basis of dimension-eight Green's functions.
