Intrinsic complexification of real-analytic varieties
Bernhard Lamel, Jiri Lebl

TL;DR
This paper develops a new framework for understanding the intrinsic complexification of singular real-analytic varieties using Segre varieties, highlighting subtle issues in the singular case through various examples.
Contribution
It introduces a novel framework for Segre varieties applicable to singular real-analytic subvarieties and explores their intrinsic complexifications.
Findings
Framework for Segre varieties in singular settings
Identification of subtle issues in complexification of singular varieties
Illustrative examples demonstrating the framework's applications
Abstract
We introduce a framework for Segre varieties for singular real-analytic subvarieties of a complex space and utilize it to study the intrinsic complexifications of these subvarieties. Many examples illustrate the subtle issues arising in the singular setting.
