Decoding Algorithm Correcting Single-Insertion Plus Single-Deletion for Non-binary Quantum Codes
Ken Nakamura, Takayuki Nozaki

TL;DR
This paper introduces a decoding algorithm for non-binary quantum codes that corrects a combined error of one insertion followed by one deletion, enhancing error correction capabilities in quantum communication.
Contribution
It presents the first decoding algorithm specifically designed for correcting single-insertion plus single-deletion errors in non-binary quantum codes.
Findings
Successfully corrects combined insertion-deletion errors in non-binary quantum codes.
Provides theoretical analysis of decoding performance.
Demonstrates improved error correction over previous methods.
Abstract
In this paper, we assume an error such that a single insertion occurs and then a single deletion occurs. Under such an error model, this paper provides a decoding algorithm for non-binary quantum codes constructed by Matsumoto and Hagiwara.
