Hao Yang, Zhi-Qing Zhang, You-Ya Yang, Peng Li

TL;DR
This paper calculates form factors and decay rates of $D^*_{(s)}$ mesons using a covariant light-front model, providing predictions for semi-leptonic and non-leptonic decays relevant for future experiments.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed calculation of $D^*_{(s)}$ decay form factors and branching ratios using the covariant light-front quark model, offering new predictions for experimental testing.
Findings
Largest branching ratios around 10^{-6} for certain decays.
Predicted polarization fraction and asymmetry parameters.
Accessible decay channels for future high-luminosity colliders.
Abstract
Similar to other heavy flavor mesons, the weak decays of mesons can provide a platform to verify the standard model, explore new physics, and understand the mechanisms of weak interactions. At present, the theoretical and experimental studies on mesons are relatively limited. In addition to the dominant electromagnetic decays, the weak decays should be feasible to explore the mesons. In this study, we used the covariant light-front quark model to study the form factors of the transitions , then calculated the branching ratios of the semi-leptonic decays and the non-leptonic decays with and . The channels and possess the…
