TL;DR
This study investigates the fragmentation patterns of 1.2 A GeV $^7$Be nuclei in nuclear emulsion, revealing specific dissociation channels and the contribution of cascade decays to the observed fragmentation.
Contribution
It provides detailed analysis of $^7$Be fragmentation channels and quantifies the role of cascade decays in the fragmentation process.
Findings
Identified main fragmentation channels of $^7$Be nuclei.
Quantified the contribution of cascade decay $^6$Be$ ightarrow ^4$He + 2p.
Found that about 27% of $^7$Be$ ightarrow ^4$He + 2$^1$H events involve $^6$Be cascade decay.
Abstract
The charge topology of peripheral fragmentation of 1.2 A GeV Be nuclei in a nuclear emulsion is presented. The dissociation of Be nuclei via the channels BeHe + He, Be2He + n and BeHe + 2H is considered in detail. It is found that in the channel BeHe + 2H, events related to the channel BeBe + n with the cascade decay BeHe + 2p account for about 27 %.
