TL;DR
This paper reports a search for the rare decay of J/psi into a photon and a D0 meson, using a large dataset, but finds no signal and sets an upper limit on the decay's branching fraction.
Contribution
First search for the decay $J/ar{ ext{psi}} o ext{gamma} D^0 + c.c.$ using BESIII data, establishing an upper limit on its branching fraction.
Findings
No significant signal observed.
Upper limit on branching fraction set at 9.1 x 10^{-8}.
Large dataset of over 10^8 J/psi events used.
Abstract
Using events collected with the BESIII detector, we search for the rare decay for the first time. No obvious signal is observed and the upper limit on the branching fraction is determined to be at 90\% confidence level.
