Spatial and Transverse structure of Heavy B- and D-mesons
Satyajit Puhan, Harleen Dahiya

TL;DR
This paper explores the internal structure of heavy B- and D-mesons by calculating their generalized parton distributions, form factors, and transverse momentum-dependent distributions using a light-front quark model.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed calculation of unpolarized GPDs and PDFs for heavy mesons within the light-front quark model framework, linking them to electromagnetic and gravitational form factors.
Findings
Unpolarized GPDs describe meson structure at zero skewness.
Form factors are derived from GPDs, providing insight into meson internal dynamics.
Transverse momentum-dependent PDFs are extracted from GPDs.
Abstract
We have investigated the unpolarized valence quark generalized parton distribution functions (GPDs) and parton distribution functions (PDFs) for heavy spin-, - and -mesons in the light-front quark model (LFQM). PDFs have been extracted from unpolarized transverse momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs). We have solved the quark-quark correlation function to have an unpolarized GPD. The unpolarized GPDs at zero skewness () lead to describing the electromagnetic form factors (EMFFs) () and gravitational form factors (GFFs)() of the mesons.
