Mini boson stars in higher dimensions are radially unstable
Edgardo Franzin

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that mini boson stars in higher-dimensional spacetimes are inherently unstable when the number of dimensions exceeds four, highlighting limitations for their stability in such models.
Contribution
It provides the first analysis of the dynamical stability of mini boson stars in arbitrary higher dimensions, revealing their instability beyond four dimensions.
Findings
Mini boson stars are unstable for D>4.
Stability analysis extends to non-compact higher-dimensional spacetimes.
Results impact models involving higher-dimensional bosonic objects.
Abstract
Boson stars are self-gravitating solutions made entirely of fundamental massive bosonic fields. Here we investigate mini boson stars in non-compact spacetime dimensions and we show that they are dynamically unstable for .
