TL;DR
This study measures the energy-dependent transverse polarization and electromagnetic form factors of the Sigma-plus hyperon in electron-positron collisions, providing insights into hyperon pair production mechanisms.
Contribution
It presents the first detailed energy-dependent measurement of Sigma-plus hyperon polarization and form factors in e+e- collisions near 3.7 GeV, enhancing understanding of hyperon production.
Findings
Measured transverse polarization of Sigma+ hyperons across energies
Determined phase and modulus ratio of electromagnetic form factors
Results aid in understanding hyperon pair production mechanisms
Abstract
Using collision data collected with the BESIII detector at seven energy points ranging from 3.68 to 3.71 GeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of , we present an energy-dependent measurement of the transverse polarization, relative phase and modulus ratio of the electromagnetic form factors of the hyperon in the reaction. These results are helpful to understand the production mechanism of the - pairs.
