TL;DR
This study searches for specific decay modes of the X(3872) particle into neutral pions and chi_c states using electron-positron collision data, setting upper limits on their branching fractions due to no significant evidence found.
Contribution
First search for $X(3872)$ decays into $ ext{ extbackslash}chi_{c1,2}$ with neutral pions, establishing upper limits on their branching ratios.
Findings
No significant evidence for the decays was observed.
Upper limits on branching ratios were set at 90% confidence level.
Results constrain theoretical models of $X(3872)$ decays.
Abstract
Using 10.1 fb of collision data collected by the BESIII detector with center-of-mass energies between 4.15 GeV and 4.30 GeV, we search for the decays , where the is produced in . No evidence above is found for either decay. Upper limits at the C.L. on the branching fractions of normalized to the branching fraction of are set to be and , taking into account both statistical and systematic uncertainties.
