Agnese Bissi, Laura Donnay, Beniamino Valsesia

TL;DR
This paper explores the emergence of logarithmic conformal field theory structures in the soft sector of celestial CFT, revealing a pair of operators with specific conformal dimensions linked to supertranslations and IR regulation.
Contribution
It demonstrates the existence of logarithmic CFT doublets in celestial CFT's soft sector, connecting late-time gravitational behavior with IR-regulated supertranslation currents.
Findings
Logarithmic CFT doublets are present in celestial CFT's soft sector.
The associated operators have conformal dimension Δ=1.
Connection established between log CFT structures and IR-finite celestial OPEs.
Abstract
We investigate the presence of logarithmic CFT doublets in the soft sector of celestial CFT related with supertranslations. We show that the quantum operator associated with a late-time behavior for the asymptotic gravitational shear forms a logarithmic CFT pair of conformal dimension with an IR-regulated supertranslation Goldstone current. We discuss this result in connection with previous encounters of log CFT structures in the IR-finite part of celestial OPEs.
