Next challenges in semi-leptonic B decays
Shoji Hashimoto

TL;DR
This paper reviews recent progress and ongoing challenges in lattice QCD calculations of semi-leptonic B decay form factors, emphasizing the need to reduce systematic errors and extend applications.
Contribution
It highlights current lattice calculation achievements and discusses future challenges in improving accuracy and extending the scope of semi-leptonic B decay studies.
Findings
Lattice calculations now provide form factors at zero and non-zero recoil.
Systematic errors remain a significant challenge to improve precision.
Extending lattice methods to related quantities is an ongoing research goal.
Abstract
Lattice calculation of decay form factors is now available from multiple lattice collaborations for both zero-recoil limit and non-zero recoil kinematics. Yet, there are a number of challenges we face to better control the systematic errors and to extend the application of lattice calculations to related quantities. The subjects are chosen from my own perspective and not meant to be conprehensive.
