Simple derivations in two variables
Anand Parkash, Pankaj Shukla

TL;DR
The paper investigates the simplicity of certain derivations in two variables over a field of characteristic zero, providing explicit examples and a complete characterization of when these derivations are simple.
Contribution
It introduces new classes of simple derivations in two variables and establishes a necessary and sufficient condition for their simplicity.
Findings
Certain derivations of the form bla_x + x^u(c_1x^ty^s+c_2) abla_y are always simple.
Derived a complete criterion for the simplicity of a broader class of derivations involving multiple monomials.
Provided explicit examples illustrating the application of the simplicity criterion.
Abstract
Let be a field of characteristic zero. If and , then it is shown that the -derivations and of are simple. We also give a necessary and sufficient condition for the -derivation , where and , of to be simple.
