Yasuyuki Hatsuda, Hai Lin, Tadashi Okazaki

TL;DR
This paper investigates giant graviton configurations in $AdS_4$ geometries with ETW branes, deriving BPS spectra from exact half-index formulas in $ ext{N}=4$ SYM, revealing new insights into boundary conditions and brane dynamics.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of giant graviton expansions and BPS spectra in $AdS_4$ geometries with ETW branes, connecting string theory and gauge theory boundary conditions.
Findings
Derived exact formulas for half-indices with boundary conditions.
Obtained BPS spectra of fluctuation modes in $AdS_4$ geometries.
Connected brane configurations with gauge theory boundary conditions.
Abstract
We study the giant gravitons in the bagpipe geometries involving end-of-the-world (ETW) brane constructed by a single -brane and either two stacks or one stack of D3-branes in Type IIB string theory. From the exact formulae and giant graviton expansions of the half-indices for the half-BPS boundary conditions and interfaces in super Yang-Mills theory, we obtain the BPS spectra of the fluctuation modes of the bagpipe geometries including the ETW brane region.
