Cai-Chang Li, Jun-Nan Lu, Gui-Jun Ding

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the minimal eclectic flavor group $Q_{8}\rtimes S_3$, explores its symmetry properties, constructs a lepton model consistent with experimental data, and predicts a zero effective mass for neutrinoless double beta decay.
Contribution
It provides a detailed group-theoretic analysis of $Q_{8}\rtimes S_3$, constructs a compatible lepton model, and makes testable predictions for neutrino physics.
Findings
The minimal eclectic flavor group is isomorphic to $GL(2,3)$.
A lepton model invariant under the group and gCP successfully fits experimental data.
The model predicts a vanishing effective mass $m_{\beta\beta}$ in neutrinoless double beta decay.
Abstract
We perform a comprehensive analysis of the minimal eclectic flavor group which is isomorphic to , and all its irreducible representations are induced from the irreducible representations of and . The consistency conditions between EFG and generalized CP (gCP) symmetry are revisited, and we find the gCP symmetry compatible with the minimal EFG . The most general forms of K\"ahler potential and superpotential based on are discussed, and the corresponding fermion mass matrices are presented. A concrete lepton model invariant under and gCP is constructed, in which the experimental data of all six lepton masses and six mixing parameters can be successfully described through seven real input parameters. The model predicts a vanishing effective mass in neutrinoless double beta…
