The miscalibration of the honeybee odometer
Laura Luebbert, Lior Pachter

TL;DR
This paper critically reviews past honeybee odometry research, uncovering inconsistencies, potential data issues, and emphasizing the need for re-experiments to verify previous findings.
Contribution
It highlights the importance of data integrity in honeybee navigation studies and calls for replication to ensure scientific accuracy.
Findings
Identified inconsistencies in published honeybee odometry results
Detected duplicated figures and possible data manipulation
Recommended redoing experiments for validation
Abstract
We examine a series of articles on honeybee odometry and navigation published between 1996 and 2010, and find inconsistencies in results, duplicated figures, indications of data manipulation, and incorrect calculations. This suggests that redoing the experiments in question is warranted.
