TL;DR
This study calculates the kinetic energy and velocity powers of a heavy quark within heavy-light mesons using the Bethe-Salpeter equation, providing results consistent with experimental data and revealing relationships among meson states.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed calculation of quark kinetic energies and velocities in heavy-light mesons using the Bethe-Salpeter method, offering new quantitative insights and relationships among meson states.
Findings
Kinetic energy parameter $\mu^2_{_ au}$ for B meson matches experimental data.
Calculated quark velocities are small, indicating non-relativistic behavior.
Identified relationships among momentum distributions of different meson states.
Abstract
Based on the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation method, we calculate the average values and speed powers () of a heavy quark inside wave and wave heavy-light mesons, where and are the three dimensional momentum and velocity of the heavy quark, respectively. We obtain the kinetic energy GeV for the meson, which is consistent with the experimental result GeV. For the , and mesons, the are GeV, GeV and GeV, respectively. And , , , and for , , , and . We obtain some relationships, for example, , $q^n_{_{0^+}}(mP)\approx q^n_{_{1^{+'}}}(mP^{'})>…
