Multistability of Bi-Reaction Networks
Yixuan Liang, Xiaoxian Tang, Qian Zhang

TL;DR
This paper characterizes when bi-reaction networks can have multiple stable states by providing a complete criterion based on their stoichiometric coefficients.
Contribution
It offers a necessary and sufficient condition for multistability in bi-reaction networks, fully classifying such networks.
Findings
Provides a complete characterization of multistability conditions.
Establishes a necessary and sufficient criterion based on stoichiometry.
Enables classification of bi-reaction networks by stability properties.
Abstract
We provide a sufficient and necessary condition in terms of the stoichiometric coefficients for a bi-reaction network to admit multistability. Also, this result completely characterizes the bi-reaction networks according to if they admit multistability.
