M. Imran, Z. Hasan, A. A. Usmani, Z. A. Khan

TL;DR
This paper systematically analyzes experimental charge-changing and interaction cross sections of isotopes with 4≤Z≤9 to deduce their proton and neutron radii, revealing features like neutron skins and halos in exotic nuclei.
Contribution
It provides a novel systematic analysis of isotope radii using Glauber model with Slater determinants, highlighting structural features in exotic nuclei.
Findings
Proton and neutron radii are deduced for multiple isotopes.
Neutron skin thickness and halo structures are identified.
The analysis enhances understanding of exotic nuclear structures.
Abstract
The root-mean-square proton and neutron radii for \rm Be, \rm B, \rm C, \rm N, \rm O, and \rm F isotopes are deduced from a systematic analysis of experimental charge-changing and interaction cross sections in the framework of Glauber model. The calculations involve descriptions of nuclei based on Slater determinants using harmonic oscillator single-particle wave functions. The extracted proton and neutron radii have been examined in the light of some important features such as neutron skin thickness/halo-like structure/subshell closure observed in exotic isotopes.
