Rotating strings and anomalous dimensions in Non-AdS holography
Meseret Asrat

TL;DR
This paper investigates rotating string configurations in a non-AdS background, revealing bounded energy-angular momentum differences and their implications for dual CFT operators, including effects of a specific deformation and connections to T Tbar deformations.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis of rotating strings in a deformed non-AdS background, showing bounded E-J and relating string properties to T Tbar deformations in dual theories.
Findings
E - J is bounded in the deformed background.
Spinning strings with n > 2 cusps have bounded E and J at a special deformation point.
The study connects string dynamics to T Tbar deformations via a classical sinh-Gordon model.
Abstract
In this paper we consider certain rigidly rotating closed string configurations in an asymptotically non-AdS string background. The string background is a deformation of . It interpolates between and asymptotically linear dilaton spacetime (times the internal compact manifold ). We compute the quantity (in the large limit) where is the energy and is the angular momentum of the spinning strings. In the two dimensional CFT dual to string theory on (times ) it gives the anomalous dimensions of certain twist two and higher operators. We show in the deformed background that is bounded. At a special value of the deformation coupling we also show that for spinning closed strings containing cusps or spikes both and are bounded. In the CFT dual…
