TL;DR
This paper combines data from Belle and Belle II to measure the CKM angle $ heta_{3}$, achieving a precise value of approximately 78.6 degrees, advancing our understanding of CP violation in the quark sector.
Contribution
It presents a combined analysis of Belle and Belle II data to determine the CKM angle $ heta_{3}$, improving precision over previous measurements.
Findings
Measured $ heta_{3} = (78.6^{+7.2}_{-7.3})^{ ext{o}}$
Combined datasets enhance measurement accuracy
Provides insights into CP violation mechanisms
Abstract
We report a determination of the CKM angle , also known as , from a combination of measurements using samples of up to 711~fb from the Belle experiment and up to 362~fb from the Belle II experiment. We combine results from analyses of , and decays, where is an admixture of and mesons, in a likelihood fit to obtain . We also briefly discuss the interpretation of this result.
