Abstract
This mini-course, conducted at the XI School on Geometric, Algebraic, and Topological Methods in Quantum Field Theory held in Villa de Leyva, Colombia, provides an overview of the interconnection between generalized symmetries and cohomology. It is designed for advanced undergraduate students with a background in physics or mathematics. Additionally, we describe a method for connecting generalized symmetries with cobordisms and K-theory within the framework of string theory. We assume basic knowledge in quantum field theory and differential forms.
