TL;DR
This paper reports precise measurements of the $e^+e^- o D_s^+D_s^-$ cross sections across energies from threshold to 4.95 GeV, revealing new structures that aid understanding of vector charmonium-like states.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed cross section measurements with a single tag method, revealing new structures in the energy range relevant to charmonium-like states.
Findings
Observation of several new structures in the cross section lineshape
Data provides input for coupled channel analysis
Results are critical for understanding vector charmonium-like states
Abstract
Using the collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, at center-of-mass energies from the threshold to ~GeV, we present precise measurements of the cross sections for the process using a single tag method. The resulting cross section lineshape exhibits several new structures, thereby offering an input for coupled channel analysis and model tests, which are critical to understand vector charmonium-like states with masses between 4 and 5~GeV.
