Hidden Conformal Symmetry from Eight Flavors
James Ingoldby (for the Lattice Strong Dynamics Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper investigates the conformal symmetry in SU(3) gauge theory with eight flavors using lattice data and dilaton effective field theory, providing insights into the theory's near-conformal behavior.
Contribution
It extends previous lattice analyses by incorporating a detailed dilaton potential study to better understand the conformal window boundary.
Findings
Refined lattice data analysis near the conformal boundary
Deeper understanding of the dilaton potential parameters
Clarified connection between potential parameters and gauge theory properties
Abstract
This proceedings paper extends the scope of our conference talk, where we presented a comprehensive analysis of newly expanded and refined lattice data concerning the SU(3) gauge theory with Nf = 8 light Dirac fermions - a theory positioned near the conformal window boundary. The analysis presented here makes use of a dilaton effective field theory and we delve deeper into the intricacies of the dilaton potential. We aim to clarify the connection between parameters appearing the potential and properties of the underlying gauge theory.
