Proving Rho Meson be a Dynamical Gauge Boson of Hidden Local Symmetry
Koichi Yamawaki

TL;DR
This paper proves that the rho meson is a dynamical gauge boson of the Hidden Local Symmetry, with its kinetic term generated through large N dynamics, confirming key phenomenological results independently of previous assumptions.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the rho meson’s kinetic term arises naturally from large N limit of the Grassmannian model, validating the Hidden Local Symmetry approach without ad hoc parameters.
Findings
Rho meson kinetic term generated by large N limit.
Phenomenological results like rho-universality and KSRF relation are parameter-independent.
Skyrmion stability and potential chiral restoration are explained without QCD input.
Abstract
The rho meson has long been successfully identified with a dynamical gauge boson of the Hidden Local Symmetry (HLS) in the nonlinear sigma model gauge equivalent to the model having the symmetry , with , however under a hitherto unproven assumption that its kinetic term is dynamically generated, together with an ad hoc choice of the auxiliary field parameter "". We prove this assumption, thereby solving the long-standing mystery: The rho meson kinetic term is generated simply by the large limit of the Grassmannian model gauge equivalent to , extrapolated to , , with all the phenomenologically successful " results" i.e.,…
