Radiation Modes in FRB 20220912A Microshots and a Crab PSR nanoshot
J. I. Katz

TL;DR
This paper investigates the radiation modes of a fast radio burst and a pulsar nanoshot, revealing their compliance with quantum uncertainty limits and constraining plasma mode contributions to their coherent emission.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the radiation mode structure and plasma mode contributions in FRB and pulsar nanoshot emissions, highlighting their relation to quantum uncertainty bounds.
Findings
FRB 20220912A microshot nearly satisfies the uncertainty relation
Crab pulsar nanoshot exceeds the uncertainty bound
Number of plasma modes is approximately equal to the product of bandwidth and duration
Abstract
A microshot from FRB 20220912A \citep{H23} satisfies the uncertainty relation by a factor of only . A Crab pulsar nanoshot \citep{HE07} exceeds this bound by a similar factor. The number of orthogonal plasma modes contributing to the coherent radiation is also , placing constraints on their excitation and growth.
