The $\eta/\eta' \rightarrow \pi^+ \pi^- \gamma$ Decays within BHLS$_2$ and the Muon HVP
Maurice Benayoun, Luigi DelBuono, Fred Jegerlehner

TL;DR
This paper investigates the $ ext{eta}/ ext{eta'} ightarrow ext{pi}^+ ext{pi}^- ext{gamma}$ decays within the BHLS$_2$ framework to better understand their relation to the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution.
Contribution
It introduces a BHLS$_2$ model analysis of dipion spectra from eta and eta' decays, linking them to $e^+e^-$ data and supporting dispersive approach results for $a_ ext{mu}^{HVP-LO}$.
Findings
A single Omnès polynomial describes both eta and eta' dipion spectra.
Fits excluding $e^+e^-$ data predict the pion form factor $F_ ext{pi}(s)$ accurately.
Results support a non-experiment-dependent origin of the $a_ ext{mu}$ tension.
Abstract
The departure of the latest FNAL experimental average for the muon anomalous magnetic moment measurements having increased from to , with respect to the White Paper consensus, it may indicate a hint for new physics. As the most delicate piece of is its leading order HVP part , methods to ascertain its theoretical value are crucial to interpret this discrepancy. We propose to examine the dipion spectra from the decays in the Hidden Local Symmetry (HLS) context using its BHLS broken variant. We thus have at our disposal a framework where the close relationship of the dipion spectra from the and decays and of the annihilation can be simultaneously considered. A special focus is put to the high statistic dipion spectra from the…
