Yu-Hui Zhou, Wen-Jia Wang, Li-Ye Xiao, Xian-Hui Zhong

TL;DR
This paper studies the strong decay properties of low-lying 1D-wave Xi_b and Xi_b' baryons using the quark pair creation model, providing explanations for observed states and predictions for unobserved excitations.
Contribution
It offers a systematic analysis of 1D-wave Xi_b baryons' decays, explaining observed states and predicting properties of missing excitations within the quark pair creation framework.
Findings
Observed states are consistent with 1D lambda-mode Xi_b states.
Predicted decay widths for rho-mode and lambda-mode excitations.
Suggested channels for experimental exploration of excited Xi_b states.
Abstract
For further decoding the inner structure of the two excited states observed by LHCb, we perform a systematical study of the strong decays of the low-lying -wave and excitations using the quark pair creation model within the coupling scheme. Combining with the measured masses and decay properties of and , the two excited states can be explained as -mode states and , respectively. If such a view were correct, and could be another interesting channels for experimental exploring of the and , respectively. Those calculations are good consistent with the results within the chiral quark model. In addition, for the other…
