Assemblies as Semigroups
Ulderico Dardano, Bruno Dinis, Giuseppina Terzo

TL;DR
This paper provides an algebraic characterization of assemblies using bands of groups, exploring their substructures and homomorphisms with numerous examples and counterexamples.
Contribution
It introduces a novel algebraic framework for understanding assemblies through bands of groups, expanding the theoretical foundation.
Findings
Assemblies are characterized as bands of groups.
Substructures and homomorphisms of assemblies are analyzed.
Multiple examples and counterexamples illustrate the theory.
Abstract
In this paper we give an algebraic characterization of assemblies in terms of bands of groups. We also consider substructures and homomorphisms of assemblies. We give many examples and counterexamples.
