TL;DR
This paper enhances the measurement range of OCDR by employing a double-modulation scheme, enabling distributed reflectivity sensing over a ten-fold extended range without losing spatial resolution.
Contribution
It introduces a novel double-modulation technique that significantly extends OCDR measurement range while maintaining spatial resolution.
Findings
Achieved ten-fold increase in measurement range.
Successfully demonstrated distributed reflectivity sensing.
Maintained spatial resolution with the new modulation scheme.
Abstract
We extend the measurement range of optical correlation-domain reflectometry (OCDR) by modulating the laser output frequency at two frequencies, while preserving spatial resolution. We demonstrate distributed reflectivity sensing with a ten-fold extended measurement range.
