Double winding condensate CFT
Indranil Halder, Daniel L. Jafferis

TL;DR
This paper proposes a new 2D conformal field theory involving winding condensates, modeling a stringy black hole in AdS3 and connecting to thermal phase transitions like the Hawking-Page transition.
Contribution
It introduces a novel CFT with winding condensates and provides explicit correlation function residues, linking string theory, black holes, and thermal phase transitions.
Findings
Explicit residues of correlation functions are derived.
The theory models a stringy black hole in AdS3 supported by flux.
Connections to Hagedorn temperature and phase transitions are discussed.
Abstract
We conjecture a two-dimensional conformal field theory built out of a linear dilaton and a compact system deformed by winding condensates on each of the compact cycles. In particular, explicit expressions of the residues of the correlation functions are provided. As a worldsheet theory, it describes a stringy black hole in AdS (supported by the Kalb-Ramond flux) at the Hawking-Page temperature. It is expected to be connected to the Horowitz-Polchinski-like solution near the Hagedorn temperature of thermal AdS and Euclidean BTZ blackhole as we vary the temperature.
