TL;DR
This paper introduces a rapid spiral MRSI method to map intra- and extra-myocellular lipids at 3T, providing a new approach for muscle lipid quantification.
Contribution
It presents a novel, fast spiral spectroscopic imaging technique for assessing muscle lipid content, improving upon traditional methods.
Findings
Successful mapping of IMCL and EMCL using spiral MRSI
Comparison shows consistency with classical quantification
Method offers a quick and simple alternative for muscle lipid analysis
Abstract
This work presents a fast and simple method based on spiral MRSI for mapping the IMCL and EMCL apparent content, which is a challenging task and it compares this indicator to classical quantification results in muscles of interest.
