Investigation of charm-quark fragmentation by correlation and jet measurements with ALICE
Ravindra Singh (for the ALICE collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper presents ALICE measurements of charm-tagged jets in proton-proton and lead-lead collisions, exploring charm quark behavior and medium effects like the dead-cone effect in high-energy collisions.
Contribution
It provides new measurements of charm-tagged jets in pp and Pb--Pb collisions, including the first observation of the dead-cone effect at these energies.
Findings
Observation of dead-cone effect in charm jets
Comparison of charm-jet properties between pp and Pb--Pb collisions
Insights into charm quark hadronization and medium modification
Abstract
Measurements of heavy-flavour tagged jets, allow for comparisons of the heavy quarks (charm and beauty) production, propagation, and hadronization across different collision systems. Comparison of measurements performed in pp with Pb--Pb collisions can help in studying the possible modification of the heavy-quark production and hadronization inside jets due to the quark-gluon plasma medium. This article presents the ALICE measurements of jets tagged with D-mesons in pp collisions at TeV and TeV (including the observation of dead-cone effect), as well as in Pb--Pb collisions at TeV.
