On the Rankin--Selberg problem, II
Bingrong Huang

TL;DR
This paper advances the understanding of the Rankin--Selberg problem by providing tighter bounds on the error term for the second moment of Fourier coefficients of GL(2) cusp forms, enhancing previous results.
Contribution
It introduces improved bounds on the error term in the second moment of Fourier coefficients for GL(2) cusp forms, refining prior estimates.
Findings
Smaller error bounds achieved for the second moment
Applicable to both holomorphic and Maass cusp forms
Enhances previous results on the Rankin--Selberg problem
Abstract
In this paper, we improve our bounds on the Rankin--Selberg problem. That is, we obtain smaller error term of the second moment of Fourier coefficients of a cusp form (both holomorphic and Maass).
