TL;DR
This paper presents a simple, exact, and general formulation for number counts in the Geodesic-Light-Cone gauge, facilitating broader applications in cosmological observations.
Contribution
It introduces a novel, straightforward expression for number counts in the Geodesic-Light-Cone gauge, improving upon previous formulations for general use.
Findings
Derived a simple, exact formula for number counts
Compared different formulations within the gauge
Provided a versatile expression applicable to various scenarios
Abstract
In this article, we compare different formulations of the number count prescription using the convenient formalism of the Geodesic-Light-Cone gauge. We then find a simple, exact, and very general expression of such a prescription which is suitable for generalised applications.
