Adrien Dubouloz, Arnaud Mayeux, Jo\~ao Pedro dos Santos

TL;DR
This survey reviews recent developments in the theory of algebraic dilatations within Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry, highlighting both foundational theories and practical applications.
Contribution
It provides a concise overview of recent research on algebraic dilatations, categorizing theoretical foundations and applications in the field.
Findings
Summarizes recent advances in algebraic dilatations
Classifies works into theoretical and applied categories
Highlights key open questions and future directions
Abstract
In this text, we wish to provide the reader with a short guide to recent works on the theory of dilatations in Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry. These works fall naturally into two categories: one emphasises foundational and theoretical aspects and the other applications to existing theories.
