X-Ray Observations of Type Ia Supernova 2018cqj
Vikram V. Dwarkadas (University of Chicago)

TL;DR
This paper reports on Chandra X-ray observations of the low luminosity Type Ia supernova 2018cqj, finding no X-ray emission and setting an upper limit on its X-ray luminosity.
Contribution
First X-ray observation of SN 2018cqj, providing constraints on its X-ray emission and progenitor environment.
Findings
No X-ray emission detected at the supernova location.
Upper limit to X-ray luminosity is 2 x 10^{39} erg s^{-1}.
Results inform models of supernova progenitors and circumstellar environment.
Abstract
I report on Chandra X-ray observations of SN 2018cqj, a low luminosity Type Ia supernova that showed an H line in its optical spectrum. No X-ray emission was detected at the location of the SN, with an upper limit to the X-ray luminosity of 2 erg s.
