Pere Masjuan, Alejandro Miranda, Pablo Roig

TL;DR
This paper introduces the first $ au$ data-driven Euclidean windows for the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to muon g-2, showing agreement with lattice evaluations and addressing discrepancies with $e^+e^-$ data.
Contribution
It presents a novel $ au$-based method for evaluating Euclidean windows in the hadronic vacuum polarization, aligning with lattice results and clarifying existing data discrepancies.
Findings
$ au$-based results agree with lattice evaluations.
$ au$ results are compatible with lattice in the intermediate window.
Addresses the discrepancy between $e^+e^-$ data and lattice results.
Abstract
We compute for the first time the data-driven Euclidean windows for the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon . We show that -based results agree with the available lattice window evaluations and with the full result. On the intermediate window, where all lattice evaluations are rather precise and agree, -based results are compatible with them. This is particularly interesting, given that the disagreement of the data-driven result with the lattice values in this window is the main cause for their discrepancy, affecting the interpretation of the measurement in terms of possible new physics.
