TL;DR
This paper investigates the scattering of gravitons from $(p,q)$-strings in AdS/CFT, calculating integrated correlators in $ ext{AdS}_5 imes ext{S}^5$ with line defects, revealing new interactions and applying $SL(2, ext{Z})$ dualities.
Contribution
It provides explicit calculations of integrated stress tensor correlators in the presence of line defects, including instanton effects, and predicts new higher-derivative interactions on $(p,q)$-strings.
Findings
Explicit perturbative and instanton contributions to correlators.
Application of $SL(2, ext{Z})$ transformations to dual defects.
Prediction of new higher-derivative vertices on $(p,q)$-strings.
Abstract
Motivated by understanding the scattering of gravitons and their superpartners from extended -strings in type IIB string theory via AdS/CFT, we study an integrated two-point function of stress tensor multiplet operators in the presence of a half-BPS line defect in super-Yang-Mills theory. We determine this integrated correlator at the five lowest non-trivial orders in at fixed Yang-Mills coupling and angle. Our calculations are performed explicitly when the line defect is a Wilson line, in which case we find a finite number of perturbative contributions at each order in , as well as instanton contributions. Using transformations, our results can also be applied to Wilson-'t Hooft line defects dual to extended -strings in the bulk. We analyze features of these integrated correlators in the weak…
